B.V. Jagadeesh
Chief Executive Officer and President
B.V. Jagadeesh is a highly regarded business executive with a proven track record of managing and building market leaders. Before joining 3Leaf Systems, Mr. Jagadeesh served as Group Vice President and General Manager of Citrix Systems' Application Networking Group. Prior to the acquisition of NetScaler by Citrix Systems, Mr. Jagadeesh served as President and CEO of NetScaler. During his tenure, Mr. Jagadeesh grew NetScaler to become the market leader in Application Delivery Systems until its acquisition by Citrix for $325M in 2005. Prior to NetScaler, Mr. Jagadeesh co-founded Exodus Communications. During his tenure at Exodus, he successfully helped the company grow from start-up to a leader in the Web co-location market and was instrumental in leading its highly successful initial public offering (IPO). Jagadeesh has also held various management and engineering positions at Novell and 3Com.
Mr. Jagadeesh holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Bangalore University and a master's degree in electrical engineering from University of Bombay, India.
Bob Quinn
Founder, Chairman and Chief Technology Officer
Bob Quinn has more than 20 years of high-tech industry experience. Before 3Leaf Systems, Mr. Quinn was founder and CEO of Network Virtual Systems (NVS), which developed scalable architectures and chips for x86 and Itanium SMP servers. Prior to NVS, he was founder and chairman of iMODL, an Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software company.
Mr. Quinn has served as chairman of TransEDA, an EDA software company traded on the London Exchange; and has held senior management positions at Unisys, Trilogy, Arix and Exxon. Mr. Quinn received an honors BSEE degree from University College, Cork, Ireland.
Justin Barney
Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business Development
Justin Barney is a seasoned sales executive with a successful record of selling infrastructure solutions to Fortune 500 and global online e-businesses. Before joining 3Leaf Systems, Mr. Barney was a vice president of sales at Citrix Systems, a leader in application delivery infrastructure. There, he was responsible for sales and field marketing for all major Citrix software and hardware products in the Western Region, the number one sales region for the products and solutions under Mr. Barney's management from 2005-2007. Prior to that, Mr. Barney held senior marketing and sales positions at NetScaler, a leader in high-performance application delivery systems acquired by Citrix. Prior, Mr. Barney spent 4 years on Wall Street as an Investment Banker and Private Equity Investment professional. He received his Bachelors Degree in Finance from the University of Colorado, and a Masters in Business Administration from the Wharton School in Philadelphia. Mr. Barney served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves from 1992 - 1998.
Anil Gupta
Vice President of Engineering
Anil Gupta has more than 20 years of engineering, management, and strategic planning experience, specializing in the networking, computing systems and semiconductor industries. He brings breadth and depth of system level knowledge through his experience as vice president of engineering at Inkra Networks, where he delivered the Industry's first virtualized networking system, along with system management software that enabled multiple IP-security services such as firewall, VPN, intrusion prevention and load balancer for service provider and enterprise data center applications. Prior to that, as director of engineering of LSI Logic's Networking Products Division, he was credited with successful development and introduction of several market-leading products in ATM and Gigabit Ethernet switching technologies. Most recently, Mr. Gupta applied his vast system hardware and software background to lead strategic marketing for the communication business unit at Altera Corp., where he delivered system solutions for the networking, broadband access and wireless markets. Mr. Gupta has held a variety of management and development positions at Unisys, Mylex (now LSI), and Wipro, working on a multitude of server and storage system solutions.
Mr. Gupta holds five patents in multiprocessor communications and software design. He received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India and a Masters in Business Administration from Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley.
Darach Beirne
Vice-President, Customer Support and Professional Services
Darach Beirne is responsible for all Support and Services activity at 3Leaf Systems and has more than 18 years of Enterprise level multi-national high-tech experience. Prior to joining 3Leaf Systems, Mr. Beirne held senior management roles in support and services with companies such as InQuira, Siebel, Scopus, Computer Associates and Ingres in various geographical locations including United States, United Kingdom, Netherlands and Ireland.
Isam Akkawi
Technical Director and Co-Founder
Isam Akkawi is responsible for processor-level architecture and development at 3Leaf Systems. He has more than 19 years of experience in system design, implementation and simulation at companies including Unisys, Network Virtual Systems, Nvsys, and nVidia. Mr. Akkawi has been the lead technical expert on scalable system developments requiring multiple complex ASICs for the x86 market. He holds a BSEE from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon and an MSEE from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Scott Lurndal
Technical Director and Co-Founder
Scott Lurndal oversees the system architecture of 3Leaf Systems products and the core technologies used to develop them. Before 3Leaf Systems, Mr. Lurndal was chief technologist at NanoBiz, an XML-based PKI solution company founded in early 2000 that was subsequently acquired by Verisign. He remained at Verisign for four years in a technical leadership role for J2EE web services and cryptographic technologies. Prior to NanoBiz, he provided key expertise for the development of a virtual machine architecture for the Origin 2000 at SGI. While at SGI, he developed and released to the open source community the Linux Kernel Debugger. Prior to SGI, Mr. Lurndal spent 14 years with Unisys, where he held several key leadership roles in architecting, designing, and implementing a single system image distributed operating system for massively parallel x86 servers. Scott holds a BS in computer science from Iowa State University.
Tony Canova
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Tony Canova joined 3Leaf Systems in March 2007 and is responsible for the company's finance, legal, human resources, investor relations and information technology functions. Mr. Canova has over 25 years of experience and is a seasoned veteran with extensive financial and management experience of publicly listed and privately held companies. Prior to joining 3Leaf Systems, Mr. Canova was Vice President of Finance, Administration and Chief Financial Officer of Brocade Communications, a publicly listed company that pioneered the Storage Area Networking Industry. Mr. Canova was at Brocade from December 2000 through January 2006. Prior to Brocade he served as Chief Financial Officer of Wireless Inc, a wireless broadband equipment manufacturer. From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Canova was an audit partner of KPMG LLP where he began his career in 1984. At KMPG, he focused on audits, mergers and acquisition and IPOs of a variety of technology companies. Mr. Canova received a B.S. in Accounting from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California.
Shahin Khan
Interim VP of Marketing
A well respected industry figure, Shahin Khan was most recently vice president of Corporate Development and Marketing at Silicon Graphics. He has served in executive positions at Sun Microsystems, including vice president of the High Performance and Technical Computing business unit, Chief Competitive Officer, and vice president of Product Marketing and Planning for computer systems. He was chief marketing officer at Electronics for Imaging, and prior to that served in a similar role at Azul Systems. A graduate of Cornell University, Mr. Khan is a thought leader in the Marketing discipline specializing in optimizing cost/benefit in marketing execution, marketing strategy, and corporate and product positioning. He has been frequently quoted in the media and is a sought-after public speaker and the author of several technical and business papers. His article on "kilo core" computing, published in The Register in 2005, heralded the arrival of new classes of IT infrastructure. In 2003, he was recognized by HPCwire as one of the "People to Watch," a list that "recognizes the most influential, interesting and promising personalities having an impact on the world of High Performance Computing." Mr. Khan is also a Founder and Partner at Orion Marketing and serves on the board of directors of eXLudus Technologies Inc., Massively Parallel Technologies Inc., and Wizmo, Inc.
